2 frozen, thin crust pizzas, thawed
½ lb. pizza or Italian bulk sausage
½ lb. sliced mushrooms
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 can pizza sauce
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 Tblsp. olive oil
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a skillet, cook sausage until done, drain. Add veggies and continue stirring just long enough to heat and tenderize them.
Stir in ½ can of pizza sauce and 1 cup of cheese, just to hold mixture together.
Generously cover a pizza pan or cookie sheet with foil (leave foil loose and make sure there's enough to pull up over and wrap around pizza)
Place one pizza, cheese side up, centered on foil.
Cover pizza with sausage mixture, and spread out to edges.
Cover with 2nd pizza, cheese side down. Press down to secure.
Wrap foil around pizza and bake, tightly covered, for 20-25 minutes.
Roll back foil and spread olive oil over top of crust. Now spread with
remainder of pizza sauce, and cover with 2 cups shredded Mozzarella.
Bake,uncovered, for additional 20 minutes or until cheese is golden.
