From the kitchen of Grama Burnett
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup vegetable oil
1 ¾ cups sugar (use part brown if you like)
Add and mix in:
2 tsp. vanilla extract
½ cup sour milk* or sour cream
Sift together and add:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
Beat until mixture is smooth and stir in:
2 cups shredded zucchini
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
Pour batter into pan and sprinkle with 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (use mini-chips).
You may sprinkle with some chopped walnuts or pecans too.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
* To make sour milk, add 1 tsp. vinegar or lemon juice to milk and let stand 5 minutes.
