Cheesy Hawaiian Dip

Michele writes: Another great dip for New Year’s Eve or this weekend’s games!


1 loaf Hawaiian Sweet Bread (a round loaf)

1lb. Velveeta cheese, cut into ½ inch cubes
1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes with chilies, drained
½ red onion diced
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 lb. shaved ham, diced

Cut bread into 1x2 inch cubes. Spread out on cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees, turning cubes every 5 minutes until toasted on all sides.

Put cheese, tomatoes, and diced onion in microwave dish. Microwave until cheese is melted. Add drained pineapple and diced ham. Microwave again to heat through. Serve warm. (A small crock-pot works great to keep this warm!)
Use toasted bread to dip. ENJOY!

Terri's notes:
~ You may need to ask for the bread in the bakery or deli; different stores, they offer it in varying sections of the store.
~ Celery sticks would make a good addition to serve with the bread for those who prefer a veggie alternative.
