Chai Tea Mix
1 cup non-fat dry milk
1 cup non-dairy coffee creamer
1 cup French Vanilla non-dairy coffee creamer
2½ cup white sugar
2 cup unsweetened instant tea
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cardamom
In a blender or food processor, blend 1 cup tea and spices into a fine powder.
Continue blending each ingredient, about a cup at a time, adding them each to a mixing bowl as they are ‘powdered’. Mix well.
Store dry mixture in an airtight container or clean jars with tight lids.
Stir about 2 heaping Tblsp. Chai Tea Mix into a mug of hot water.
~ Terri's Notes:
Cardamom is a little pricey, but it is what brings the distinctively “Chai” taste to the mix,
I wouldn’t leave it out.
Relaxing Chai Creamer
from the kitchen of Dawn Zaruba
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. cardamom
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Stir all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
Pour into airtight container. Store in refrigerator.
To serve: Stir, as spices may settle and add 2 tsp. creamer to a cup of hot, strongly
brewed black tea. Stir well and relax!
