In microwave, melt chocolate chips. Cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Stir in melted chocolate chips. Combine flour and soda; add to butter mixture.

Bake at 350 for 16-22 minutes or until toothpick near center comes out clean.
Cookie Dough Topping:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
6 Tblsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips (or 1 cup mini chocolate chips)
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in milk and vanilla.
Gradually add flour. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoons on baked, cooled brownies,
and carefully spread over the top. Cut into squares.
Store in refrigerator.
~ I use a Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie mix (9x13 size) in place of the above brownie recipe.
~ It was also suggested to use mint chips, but I’ve never tried that.
