Strawberry Pie

In a small saucepan, combine:
1 cup of sugar
3 Tblsp. cornstarch

1 cup water and cook until thick and clear
Remove from heat and stir in:
3 Tblsp. strawberry jello, stir until dissolved. Cool.

Pour mixture over 1 to 1 1/2 quarts of sliced or whole strawberries and carefully mix until all berries are covered. Pour berries into a baked pie shell or graham cracker crust. Chill until time to serve. Serve with plenty of whipped cream!

* Hints and helps:
- You can layer the berries and gelatin mixture in the pie shell, instead of mixing them together first.
- Try this with red raspberries and raspberry jello.
- Add a yummy cream cheese layer by mixing a 3 ounce package of softened cream cheese with 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and spreading this mixture in the bottom of the pie shell before putting in the berries!
- Celebrate the 4th of July by garnishing with fresh blueberries.
