Amish Baked Oats

From the kitchen of Michelle Hilleson

1 ½ cups old fashioned oatmeal (3 cups oatmeal)
½ cup sugar or ¼ cup brown sugar (3/4 cup brown sugar)
1/2 cup milk (1 cup + 2 tblsp. Milk)
¼ cup melted butter (1/3 cup butter)
1 egg, beat lightly (2 eggs)
1 tsp. Baking powder (1 tsp. Baking powder)
3/4 tsp. Salt (¾ tsp. Salt)
3/4 tsp. Vanilla extract (1 ½ tsp. Vanilla)

(parenthesis are amounts for recipe doubled)

Combine the ingredients; mix well. Spread evenly in a greased 9x13 in. baking pan.
Bake at 350, for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
Immediately spoon into bowls and top with milk.
