Meringue Kisses

(yummy and low fat)

3 egg whites
1 cup white sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
one or two flavor options

Flavor options!
3 1/2 Tblsp. fruit flavored gelatin mix – makes pretty spring colors
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate mini-chips
1 cup finely chopped almonds, pecans or walnuts
3 Tblsp. cocoa powder for Chocolate Kisses
½ tsp. instant coffee crystals - mix with cocoa for Mocha Kisses
¼ tsp. peppermint extract – tint green, or add with cocoa!
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Line baking sheets with brown, parchment or wax paper.
In a large glass or metal mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
Gradually add sugar, and salt, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold in vinegar and flavor choices.
Drop rounded spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet. Or pipe them on, for pretty shape.
Put cookie sheet in the oven, close the door, and turn the oven OFF. Don’t PEEK!
Leave cookies in the oven overnight
